Herbal Teas

Hurray! We now offer herbal teas for sale. Most of the herbs are grown in our garden, dried and blended packed by hand. Our herbs are not sprayed with any chemicals and are harvested at their peak flavor.

These tea are available at the South Windsor Farmers Market during the growing season or pre-pay online and you will receive an email from Brenda when order is ready for pickup. Questions, please email brenda@thompsonstreetfarm.com

Lavender Harmony Tea $8.00

 A blend of lavender, milky oats, and lemon balm. These herbs are all in the nervine class which is known for helping relieve muscle tension, crazy thoughts, wakeful nights and in some cases help with mild depression.

Minty Mint Herbal Tea $8.00

A blend of 2 mints grown in our garden – Spearmint and Peppermint. These herbs are great as a pick-me-up in the afternoon or after a meal. It’s perfect for eliminating gas and bloating and my all-time favorite go-to when I’m not feeling well and have nausea and a headache.

Lavender Rose Bedtime Tea $8.00 1 oz Jar

A blend of Lavender, Chamomile, Rose Petals, Catnip, and Milky Oats. These herbs are in the nervine class which is known or helping relieve muscle tension, crazy thoughts, wakeful nights and in some cases help with mild depression. With the addition of catnip, this will help with any stomach issues such as gas and/or bloating. This tea is perfect to give to children before bedtime.

Winter Chai $8.00 3 oz Jar

A blend of many herbs and spices that are perfect for a cold winter’s day. I added a few herbs such as tulsi (Holy Basil) and cinnamon for a calming and warming effect. Cardamon, rooibos, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, rosehips, calendula, tulsi, black peppercorns.

Cinnamon Rose Tea (with Coconut Milk) $8.00 – 2 oz Jar

This is another great blend for afternoon tea. It hits all the warm and fuzzy buttons on a cold winter day. Cinnamon, cardamom, vanilla bean, rose petals, chamomile, rosehips, dried coconut milk.

Pumpkin Pie Tea $8.00

I think this is my all-time favorite tea! I love the flavors of pumpkin pie in the fall and winter. Now I can have them without the guilt of the added calories! For this tea, I use locally grown organic pumpkins found in Hebron CT. The apples are the sweetest organic apples I can find fresh and I slice everything into small chunks to be dried. Organic pumpkins, organic applies, cloves, allspice cinnamon nutmeg.

Our best-seller at the farmers market! This green will give you a run for your money! I love to add these greens to plain dairy-free yogurt for a mock horseradish sauce for roast beef or prime rib at the holidays. It’s perfect in sandwiches, burgers (beef, turkey or bison).

This is a super fast-growing green and will be ready to cut in less than 4 – 6 days. Extra seeds are included for additional growings.

Sunflower Shoots Grow Kit

I just love these shoots. They have a wonderful nutty flavor. These shoots take a little patients than the other microgreens. Just like the pea shoots, they need to be sprouted first before planting into the special potting soil. However, they are worth the wait!
